BOARD MEMBER

Donna Brewer

Donna was born in Louisville, KY, and moved to Southern Indiana in 1977. She fell in love with Georgetown the first time she drove through it, finding it so beautiful. She raised three sons just west of Georgetown before eventually moving to the Edwardsville area, where she didn’t pass through Georgetown as often. Over time, she hadn’t noticed the extent to which Georgetown had deteriorated, and she felt deeply saddened when she fully recognized the closed businesses and homes in disrepair.

In the summer of 2023, Donna met John Beams and discussed his vision for the town’s future. She was so impressed and excited about what was happening that she asked if she could help in any way. She felt honored to be invited to join the Board of Directors for Destination Georgetown. Now, Georgetown is experiencing growth as businesses are coming in, and, little by little, the town is flourishing and becoming beautiful again. Donna takes great pride in all the work Destination Georgetown has accomplished—and continues to do—for the community.
