Lanesville native Carol Boyle is a perfect example of someone living her childhood dream. Many years ago, she began her first job at Polly’s Freeze. Beginning in 2016, Carol purchased the iconic store with her husband and another couple. Since that time, her interest in Georgetown has become even more personal as she looks to continue the Polly’s tradition that has been such a large part of our community for over 70 years.
Aside from working at Polly’s for 36 consecutive seasons, Carol has a full time career with Louisville Metro Government. She and her husband Glen reside in New Albany.
Kathy has lived in Georgetown for 49 years. She has been on the Georgetown Town Council for 8 years, and has always prided herself on being an advocate for the people of Georgetown, and wanting only what is best for all its residents. Kathy joined the Destination Georgetown board to help restore Georgetown to the beautiful, well-kept little town she remembers from years ago. In addition to all the work she does for Georgetown, Kathy has also served on the Harvest Homecoming committee and been a part of the Optimist Club, both for the past 30 years.
Betty is a retired certified licensed interior decorator who graduated from Sullivan School of Art & Design. She practiced in all aspects of interior design including historical. Growing up in historical homes in New Albany has set Betty up for a natural love for historical design. Betty said that she “hopes that my experience and love for anything historical makes me an asset to Destination Georgetown.”
